Do em as tight as you can and then get a breaker bar and turn them another whole turn

Alternitivly count how many turns from when you put them in, if I remember it 22.5 whole turns
Please do not take this advise, I am special and like taking the piss out of Zarc

Is this a one of setup, or do you need to re torque them after a few hundred miles?

Never had to re-torque, personally. Wouldn't do any harm though I guess

It does, it might be down to them being stretch bolts???

I can't remember if I completely followed that list when I did mine.

First time crushes the gasket and that takes some of the bolt torque so it's not producing the right clamping load. 2nd gets the bolt torque right and proper clamping load.

Follow the order each time including when taking the torque off

    Undo in reverse order.

So tighten starts at middle and works out.

Undo start at end and criss-cross back to finish at middle pair.

When undoing, just crack the bolt first go, about 1/16 turn, this ensures you can move them all. Then take it to 1/4. Then 1/2, if that doesn't make it loose complete the pattern before taking them fully loose and removing.

    Thanks guys
That is a massive help and make every bit of sense now! This is going to be my first time splitting an engine so I am just wanting to get everything correct and precise.
To help others in the future should this be made a sticky thread added to the s13 tech section as I spent a good amount of time searching for this information? Just a thought for the admin guys!?
