CCTV Smart cars parking on yellows?

Tonight in London I spotted one of those CCTV smart cars parked on a double yellow...

This is seems somewhat hypocritical of them to me. Are they actually allowed to do it?

Yes, they have a special dispensation.

I work in CCTV and it really annoys me that "Civil Enforcement Officers" can break the law to enforce it, annoys some of them too!

That's just crap... I firmly believe they and all law enforcement people should stick to the law unless required in an emergency (i.e. police / ambulance call).

That's crap, surely if you were to take it to court a jury would see that it's morally wrong and let you off lol

I mean in the same way that a disabled driver has dispensation to park on double yellow when displaing the badge declaring the right too, they may have a simular order in place either that or the drivers are disabled

Even if they are not disabled, if they keep this up im sure someone will put them in a wheelchair at some point lol
