    Video Footage Thread.

Here is a compilation of the footage I managed to get.

I didn't bother filming in the morning, then ran out of memory after about 20 minutes and sadly for some of that the windscreen was just too dirty to use.

Awesome time had on track and generally compliant driving from all.

I apologised to Matt outright for the most dodgy manoeuvre I caught on film; my overtake on the wrong side of the cone after being up behind him for 2 laps, and he apologised for not seeing me so all was cool.

I didnt know who a lot of the cars belonged to, so if you spot yourself, please post up with the time you were in shot.

Daz is defintely due a quick mention Your driving has got a lot better, you could see you were struggling for grip but you were going with it Leaps and bounds better than last year at Donnington (where my camera caught you trying to control a slide by stamping on the brakes ). Good on you mate, you looked to be having loads of fun!

He was looking like a man on a mission so thought it best to let him past lol

I was the floaty green standard 14a from 1.42 onwards.

REALLY wanted to get away form the Porsche for the pride of the SX.

Only I had a passenger I would probably have pushed till I spun

Thats unfortunate that sign being where it was, just a normal spin that anyone of us could have had! You even got the car facing the right way again!

You only need two tools in life - wd-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the wd-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

And if you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Just like Mr Babboon, check how close I am as the car spins to see the porker I'm glad no serious damage was done as it makes it ok to make jokes

Wheel on the white line would have been my excuse for Vidal there. That's what you get for cutting

Seriously though, given the changing conditions and number of people new to the track I still felt safer then I generally do at track days. Big pat on the bag to everyone.

Cheers Madda, I was really struggling for rear end grip and it caught me out several times, it was annoying as the power and brakes were spot on. Oh and last year the spin was caused by me braking mid corner lol.

I did have loads of fun though but I must admit, the lack of grip has knocked my confidence with the car a little bit .

I can't wait to book up another track day, will get the alignment sorted first I think though.

Although the beemer is far far from being the last word in track sophistication (it may well be the first word in fact ) I had the datalogger plugged in so I'll pull some data off that just out of interest. Only quickly opened a couple of the files but looks it's down on lateral G from when I used it at knockhill (only 1G here and 1.1 or 1.2G at knockie iirc), probably due to the flat track. Also down on braking performance but this is probably due to the crappy brakes, they didn't half go off lol! Think the quickset time was 1.20 (peak speed 95mph I think) which given the diabolical power to weight (and daily spec) probably isn't too bad for the loyal old beast

    Dunc.
