    Lightbulb wiseco in ca18det problem

Hello, recently buy some pistons wiseco for ca18det, and I have a problem with them, the pistons in the position PMI collide in the oil jets, I would like to know if anybody has had this problem.

    Thanks

    A greeting.

I assume PMI means BDC (bottom dead centre)?

Check that the pistons are in the correct way round, ie maybe turn them 180 deg's.

Check that they have cut outs for the squirters.

I believe those are the american wiseco pistons for converting a CA18DE (which has no squirters) to a DET

I had this problem with my Wossner pistons. The cut out wasn't quite the right size. So I sent them back along with a standard piston and they re shaped them.

if it is for the problem that they touch on the oil squirter we talked to wiseco and they told us that you need to play around with the position of the oil squirter or make a little notch on the piston with a grinder and it won't affect the pistons.

They're for american market, which never had a CA18DET. They convert the DE which ddin't have squirters, which they then call a DET

well, in other words - not worth buying them, unless You have some machine shop nearby.
Because If You will drill it by Yourself theres a big chance that You will alter weight of each one, and... thats nooo good...

I'm just interested if theres a chance of adjusting squirters enought to fit pistons...
basically, lowering squirters by 5mm might help... O_o
