    Halfords Ramps

A bit off topic perhaps, but looking for advice.

What's the best way to keep ramps in place when you're driving up them? Mine just piss off away from the wheels as I try to edge up them.

    Thanks

Wrap an old strip of carpet or similar around the bottom rung and double it up in front of the ramp. As you approach the ramp you drive onto the carpet which stops the ramp shooting away.

    Ramps....pfhht!

what you need to do is to jack the car up using the crappy scissor jack a bit and then try and get your trolley jack underneath to put it on axle stands, then try letting it back down on to the scissor jack when you are done without putting a great big dent in the sill!
Bit low my car.....always an adventure when it needs jacking up

I don't know which model 200sx you've got but I can't get my S14a up the Halfords ramps as the spoiler's too low.

I can't use the Halfords ramps for my 200 either.

I made a pair of ramps which are long and low so they don't catch on the spoiler, but they are just high enough to get under the car and more importantly, they are high enough to let me get my trolley jack under the fron crossmember.

I made them from wood left over from my Ground Force decking type adventure in the garden

Can't get mine up the ramps either!!

I usually reverse up the ramps so the back is high, then jack and axle stand the front. Its much easier working when the whole car is up, instead of just the front!!

    Cheers

I can't use ramps either - well I can, but I have to jack the front up, put the ramps under and then let the car back down.
