Por15 is just one system. I've done the same process but with different products. Ie, using Bilt Hamber for the rust convertor.

Last night I spent 3 hours painting the gloss Top coat on. All painting is now done for the underside.

Are you going to do the painting on the sills as well?

Yeah I will. All the work is below the line of the skirts and spats and due to previous bodyshop repair only painting to the side skirt line, I don't have to worry about blending it in as there's a hard line of laquer.

The stage it's at now allows me to get everything fitted and to get her back on the ground. 2 days until the MOT.

Looking good bud! Understood about por15. Long as it's protected that's the main thing.

2 days to get it all fitted up?? That's a lot of work.

Massive amount of progress made at the weekend and now I am absolutely shattered. Downside is that I didn't take that many photo's.

Tank straps all cleaned up and repainted.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1793)

    Tank was then fitted.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1796)

Next up was to trim the rusty bits off the heat shield and give it a coat of silver high temp paint.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1794)

    Then fixed in place.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1797)

Feeling happy bits are being bolted on.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1798)

    Fuel tank all hooked up.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1799)

    Shield in place.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1800)

Next up was the subframe followed by many other bits, this is where I stopped taking photo's annoyingly.

The car then went for it's MOT on Saturday and passed so I headed straight to get the 4 wheel alignment done. She drives absolutely amazing. Rear end feels solid and well planted. Really looking forward to Rockingham now.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1801)

Cleared the monumental mess up in the garage.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1802)

So there's more space now. As you can see the side skirts and spats need to be fitted then a proper clean, clay bar and polish is needed.

Thanks everyone. Certainly well chuffed. Feeling the pain of working on it solid now though. I've actually damaged the tendon's in my hand I've been that busy. So now need to rest and put nurofen gel on it 3 times a day until it heals up. I've got what's called 'Trigger Finger' lol.

So what better way to rest.............do some more work on the car haha.

Fitted up the side skirts and rear spats. Stupidly ordered the wrong tape and it's a bit too thin so will re-do them after the weekender, it's not essential to redo them now.

Only joking. Two bucket method was used. Doesn't she look awesome again .

Daz don't suppose you know the width of your garage off the top of your head do you? Looks a reasonable space.

That's phenomenal! Well done Daz!! It's an amazing feeling to have the car all done and back on its wheels, I know exactly how u feel!!

Although I need to do a round 2 and drop the subframe.

It's approx. 3.1m x 7m at the front, the rear of the car reduces to about 2.6m I think. The road splays so it gets narrow the further back it goes which is a bit annoying. There's a decent amount of room in there though.

Cheers buddy. It certainly is an awesome feeling getting the car back down on all four wheels. Few little tasks left to do still be I'm well happy.

So pulled the car out of the garage to bleed the brakes again. and was greeted with this lovely little puddle.

    Damson 200sx Project thread (1818)

Turns out I hadn't fully tightened one of the jubilee clips properly under the inlet manifold yet it never leaked before so very odd. All tightened up now and fingers crossed there's no more leaks. Even drove into work this morning.
