Without meaning to sound callous, I suspect that an increasing number people are going to be in a position where selling their car is a way to protect their finances. It's going to be a buyer's market for the next few months.

You are indeed. Already seen a few of the 911 owners group selling up. Been some nice 996s go near ten grand again which hasn't happened in a long time.

That usually tells me that he's probably going to be a nightmare to deal with, so I left it there. He's listed it on eBay with the asking price as his starting price...

I suspect he's going to be waiting a while to shift that one.
Looks like the starting price of this one is tumbling on eBay. It's now on at 500 quid less than the value he told me he wouldn't accept offers under.

I have a suspicion this one has a little more dropping to do.

It was at £8750 when I last saw it. How’s it doing now?

    Some interesting recent eBay feedback
Price inflated due to demand but everything else was good.

To be fair tho, if the kits are very new, that feels like a reasonable price. Assuming it’s solid.

God knows why anyone needs £4k of brakes on a £6-7k car though? I don't know why he doesn't break and sell them separately - surely they'll fit a multitude of Nissans?

Internet points I guess. The rear kit is absurdly over spec'd for the car. I bet it's got a standard BMC too.

Very weird spec. It's in the northern reaches of Scotland too, which is going to limit his audience significantly in the current climate.

I think you might be into a winner there. You’re right, distance will work against him there.

No they don’t. I tried to see if GTR brakes would fit a 370. Completely different offset and the callipers won’t fit

    Pre 2001 matey

EDIT: That's when Nissan revised the rear calipers on the R34 GTR, which was then carried over to the 350Z.

When they switched from Brembo to Akebono everything changed again.

5 days later, and the situation is unchanged. I suspect the seller is learning a few tough lessons about valuation and sale timing.

Sort of ironic since he was punting on hand sanitizer on eBay eh
