It's a terrible when you're single, you see happy couples around you and all you feel is bitterness and inedequacy.
Get some depressing music (not soppy crap) and wallow in it, I do .

yeh i know, it sucks, not been here before, and it sucks man.

Already messed up my final year project for uni, trying to revise for my exams.

Been putting on some happy music though, uplifting stuff, cant wallow anymore.

Sucks even more that its the easter holidays and its pretty empty on campus at uni, so i've spent most of my time on this board, heaven sent!!!

Usually final year projects take up waaay to much of a student's time considering they're generally not worth that much of the year's percentage (about 15% in my department anyway). You might have done the right thing concentrating on exams.

well i have 6 modules in the final year, my project counts for 2 of them, so its worth quite a lot, so now i have to cram like i've never crammed before to make it up.

Though it all seems pointless as i wanna startup my own business after uni, though i have to research how feasible this is more.

(ok, just cracking open that 1ltr bottle of stella)

I know its hard when this type of stuff happens , but you can look at it two ways. You can get yourself all depressed thinking about the past, or you can start to look forward to the future. I know its not easy to do, but being single can allow you the freedom to do what YOU want to do.
Plus you WILL meet someone else! It always seems like the world is about to end but give it time and things will change!

Sorry if this sounds patronising but you have to put things into perspective sometimes.

I know it is still hard either way though but just keep smiling

    Good luck mate!

    thanks acecross,

someone told me last weekend, "you have a head, two arms , two legs, wtf have you got to complain about"

ahhhhhh, just need to snap out of it, all a big fat mess.

    appreciate the support.

Go out and get hog-whimperingly, commode-hugging drunk with some proper mates, the ones that stick by you, and have a good laugh. And stick with the uplifting music - well, that or heavy metal to get some aggression out of your system!

been doing that for the past 2 weeks,

off to a indie night/dance night down at the local club (route) to get rid of some pent up agression.

ah, i shouldnt be saying stuff when im getting drunk, at the moment, women are the devil, grrrr

Oh, and another piece of advice, if you're in the habit of sending text messages when drunk leave your mobile at home and it will avoid a restraining order. Apparently.
