    Exclamation Radio Aeriel

    Hi.
just got my 200, and have installed a pioneer cd head unit. Only trouble is the connections to the aeriel (sorry if i spelt that wrong, i'm pysdexslic)dont match. I have traced the wire back into the dash and cant find any other connectors, nor can i find any adaptors to fit, so am i just being stupid, or do i need to start chopping wires.
Please help, my cd collection is not that big, and i'm getting pi**ed off with listening to the same songs all the time!
    cheers
    Jacko

As long as you have a plug on the car wire, and a hole on the back of the head unit, you'll be able to buy an adaptor
I had to get one for the Misssssessss 106, and the bloke in the shop knew exactly what I was after
I wouldnt chop anything unless you have to (unless you have a joba s a Rabbi ......... unavoidable then)

Just spend a tenner on the adapter like the man said.
Makes an arse of a job take 4 minutes and 12 seconds.

    That'll match all the wires.

The 200sx stock aerial is one weird fukcer, there are about 8 wires going to it.

Yeah, I fitted my head unit yesterday, and I've never seen an ariel plug like that before! As far as I can see there are two co-ax leads which are connected (physically and electically) in parallel at the radio end. (I've not gone in at the other end yet. If only it would stop raining!)
Am I right? Is this a balanced line set-up, or what?

    Puzzled.....

Is S13 too controversial? Wouldn't want to start anything....

There are 2 aerials, the original head unit works out which has the best signal and uses that.

The back screen has the other aerial in it at the top, looks like the heater.
