How loud is your ICE

I've just had the sound level of my stereo measured at a car show and it produced 127.4dB, is this good? I'm into in-car entertainment but I know nothing about sound off competitions and dB LEVELS.

I'm not into ICE much, but I did read in Revs magazine that they built a soundoff car and it got 140 decibels.

That's good enough, most of the db boys are now hitting 160db and around 150db can give you complete deafness if your exposed long enough !!! I think the record stands at 173.2 db's.

127.4 is respectable indeed.

Decibels works weird and i cant remember exactly how but i think those jackhammer road drill things flirt with 100 decibels, you aint doin so bad.

I have MB-Quart 6.5" fronts, 8" 3-way Pioneer rears, 4x12" subs, 1xKenwood 728 amp, 1x JBL Decade amp, 1xProp-plus Titan (1x1000w rms) amp. Have yet to measure the db's but rocks your head pretty well !!!
