Naaah Im not actually so cynical- it didnt work for me - but then everyones situation is different - and it might work for me now -

it depends on your partner -

You have talked to her about this, right?

Christ this is like Jerry Springer - but a hell of a lot more caring on here I hope.

anyway - I have a long distance relationship with sheep up in Royal Deeside - Im going climbing in the cairngorms this weekend so I am looking forward to seeing my friends again...

You can take the boy out of Scotland, but you cant take Scotland out of the boy... sorry sheep lovers on the board - me first! Now where did I put my velcro mittens...

In my experience nope, doesnt work.

Went really well for a while, moved her in with me after about a year, that lasted another 2 years and now I have a beautiful 2 year old Son and she got what she was after all along. A Council house.

Still if it worked it could have been so beautiful, i say go for it. If i had to do mine again i definatly would for no other reason then my son is the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I could talk about him all night but i wont bore you all.

i say it all depends on the people! everyone is different...good starting point is trust tho, big problem of many a relationship especially long distance!

yeah - the travelling sucks (250 miles in my case) but if you're like me and spend the whole train journey thinking what you're going to get at the other end (behave ) then it's all worth it

as has been said tho...its the mid-week nights when you have had a completely day that you need a cuddle most and thats when it hits...

    go for it

Long distance relationships work great! Its like the first feeling of being in love , but for ages....... every phone call and letter is so precious. Never have time to get stale........and when you meet up you bang like a belt-fed bazooka!

Agree there...life's too short. No regrets and all that!
and what's that saying..."it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all"?

    ...something like that
