Did you know how many S14.14a's were built (now have answer)

.....that there were only 564 S14 and S14a's sold in England from 1994 to 2001

The GF (who works for Nissan) found an old memo telling the dealer that Nissan were no longer building or selling any more 200's in England.

Some manufacturers build more UK limited edition's than this!.

There you go, some useless information. It my last day at work until 2004 and have nothing better to do

    Cheers

I have a copy of the memo in doors. If I get time when I get home tonight I will try and scan it in and add it to my web site and link it to this post.

    The 564 doesn't include imports.

    i always wondered this

how many are left on the roads then ?????????

and how many 14/14a members do we have? maybe we could try and track them all down

I thought it would be more than that tho, more like a couple of thousand

Meaning that we have 8 times as many board members than 14/14a's

S13 must be a commoners car then..............

    Sorry.

Some bloke at the local dealership told me it was around 1000 / yr. Which sounds about right.

    Sure you haven't missed a 0 off? can't believe less than 100 / year.

I thought it would have been more than that too.

Recon we need to cut at least, say 100 off for cars that are no longer on the road

The number is defo 564 on the memo. I also have a list of all the 200's that the dealer my GF works for sold. They only sold about 30 for this period.

Edit: Mono Phil are you sure he didn't mean that Nissan were making a thousand a year World wide?

You see too many about for there only to be that number on the roads. Ferrari sell about 350 cars here per year (so that's 3500 since 1994). How often do you see a Ferrari compared tyo a 200? There are approximately 600 Merc E500s over here but I've never ever seen another on the road.

    Maybe it's 564 cars pa?

It wouldn't be comercially viable for Nissan to only sell 1000 examples of a car annually.

As promised, here is a scanned copy of the memo. I haven't had chance to reduce the size so it's a bit large.

It does say that only 564 units were sold in the UK, and this is across all dealers

    Not a chance!

That means that practically every owner is on the board! Its got to be a specific spec or like, why are they only with drawing 2 colours of trim?

The reason why they only removed two colours is because the other two colours are standard Nissan colours (Red and Black).

so why dont we start to collect information about the 200sx we all own? such as reg, colour, engine # etc..? current cars location..?

    Is this a daft idea...?

Would this be helpful reference/history when looking to purchase a 200?

edit: oops I think Nismo Mark was saying this.

I still can't believe this is right

Look at the number for sale at any one time on Autotrader and E&M thats got to be 100

Is this 564 a number sold within a certain "group" of dealers Glyn Hopkins for example?

Think of all the times you've seen a duffer driving one, they aren't on here.

i have never been to any meets, cruises, whatever,i have only ever seen 6 other s14a ,,
so i think ive got a really exclusive car whos got a emerald green s14a on a 99"plate

    Think people!

Would Nissan keep selling a car if they were selling less than 100 a year? If theres about 100 for sale in autotrader/Ex Mart, it means that we're only keeping these cars for about 10 weeks on average, give 2 weeks to sell a car. As I said before, theres got to be at least 300-400 S14/a's on the board (memebers or not), some how I don't think 60% off the 200 owning population has heard of the car!

Rant Over! *unless more fools are convinced by this stat which has to be talking about yearly sales, or colour, or 200sx logoed sun strips*
