S13 on a rotisserie height?

Odd question, but would anyone know the height required in a domestic car garage to have an S13 on a rotisserie?
I’m having plans drawn up for a new garage, and I’d be slightly miffed if I decide to mount the s13 on one, and I can’t spin it but for a few inches.

depends if you leave the wing mirrors on. it also depends on where your central axis is which is governed by what you have stripped out of the shell. but i would take a stab in the dark and say 12" greater than the width will be good.

i just slapped mine on the spit and gave it a spin with no forethought.

In a profoundly dumb moment, I’ve realised that, as you say, simply measuring the car would be the simplest way.

Yeah I hear you. I believe it’s 2.5m races and 4m peak, if peaked.
It will also be on 2 boundaries, and pretty much right on top of them. It’s still a grey area and I’ll have to speak to the local planning. An architect friend said it could possibly not require planning as it’s classed as an out building and far enough away from the house.

For an S13 on a rotisserie, you’ll definitely need decent ceiling height. A rough estimate would be around 12-14 feet of clearance in the garage to give you enough room for the car to rotate without hitting the ceiling. This should cover the car's height, the rotisserie, and give you a bit of wiggle room.

It's always good to leave a little extra space just in case the rotisserie design has any specific height requirements, especially if you plan to be working on the car from different angles. Also, make sure there’s enough width and floor space to comfortably fit the car and the rotisserie.
