Japspeed rad fitment problem - CA

CA S13, has an old Japspeed stainless rad fitted but the problem is it sits high on the drivers side.
Looks to be a clash between the bottom hose and the brace that sits below it.

Done some digging and the CA and SR have totally different rads, so it can’t be an SR rad.
Seems the CA and Skyline rads are the same.. now at least anyway.

Has anyone else had this problem? Or know how I can solve it.
Otherwise next step is to pull it and measure it, and compare to some other aftermarket offerings.

Are you sure the 2 locating pins on the bottom of the rad are lining up with the holes in the tension rod brackets and lower rad support?

It's not uncommon for them to be slightly off.

The bottom hose outlet should be no lower than the bottom of the rad?

AFAIK CA radiator inlet and outlet are on the same side of the radiator, whereas for the SR one is on either side.

Is it clashing forwards to backwards, because I once read that the KA24 radiator is the same pattern as the CA18 radiator but thicker. I don't know if it's true but could help explain your clash, Japseed not exactly rigorous with their quality checks so whatever manufacturer made it could have made that mistake.

It’s sat in the holes where it should be, the lower rad hose boss sits slightly below the bottom edge of the rad, so when the hose is on the hose sits on the brace below it, stopping it going any lower.

That sounds like it could be a manufacturing error chap. Have you got your original kicking around?

Definitely, it's not an unreasonable assumption to make that the Japspeed outlets might be incorrectly positioned. Let us know how you get on.

    Update:

The rad is definitely larger than the correct one for a CA S13. So I suspect as noted above, that it’s a Skyline Rad.
New one fits like a glove.
