    S14 stock wheels colour

    Hi,

I’m a new member. I have a 1998 Nissan 200sx and I was wondering if anyone knows the finish on a set of stock S14 200sx wheels. Is it a gloss or satin finish from factory? In addition, what is the colour code?

    Thanks

    Steve

    Welcome to the forum.

The wheels are shiny from factory and smooth to the touch, I doubt there's a corresponding colour code though.

Yes they were gloss from memory. No idea of colour code though.

If you've got a stock wheel to match you can get sample cards from these guys to match the colour.

I used to buy a lot of paint from them, it was good stuff. It's probably this: https://www.wheelpaints.co.uk/ALLOY-...10-00-12S.Html

s14 wheel powdercoating is the most sturdiest going. the stuff is basically indestructible, i wish they did the whole car in it.

That's a bit of a generalisation, a polyester powder straight over alloy is worse than useless if it gets water behind it, but you're right. If you use the German manufacturers coating system it's as good as anything. The anti corrosive epoxy undercoat is the key. The corrosion inhibitors are essential.

These were all done using factory coating systems:
