    S14A NATS issue

Hi wondering if anybody can help with this issue please.

My s14a is running stage2a with all the mods but not making power.

My 1st port of call was to swap back to the stock ecu and see if the power came back.

Instead the NATS system kicked in and the car won't start.

Pop the other ecu back in and it will start.

Not sure why the original ecu won't start the car.

I've tried disconnecting the NATS parts but then it won't start on either ECU.

Any suggestions on how to disable the NATS system completely?

    Cheers

Is it even turning over on the standard ECU? Dashboard lights on etc?

From memory, the Stage 2 chip uses larger injectors? So the standard ECU would be not set up to run them. Now would they be out of whack enough to stop the car starting? I don't know.....

Also, I open to correction here also, but I think that the imobiliser and NATS work separately. You can start and drive the car normally with the NATS alarm fully activated and blaring. But you can't start the car with the wrong key even if the NATS alarm is disarmed.

Hi yes everything works as normal, lights on the dash and turns over. It's definitely an immobiliser issue (thought that was NATS)

It would otherwise run on the stock ecu however will over fuel. I'm actually trying to isolate another issue but was starting with the ECU, I was foiled by the 1st hurdle though.

    From Horsham Developments site:

    https://h-dev.co.uk/product/nats-sync-software/

Maybe the ECU and immobiliser are out of sync after being disconneted and dead for so long? I don't know, but it may be worth asking Horshams.

The alarm and immobilizer are separate systems.

The immobiliser is built into the ECU and uses the transponder chip in the key, the halo on the ignition barrel and the NATS2 immobiliser box.

Most likely the transponder isn't being recognised and needs to be resynchronised.

Its working with a Hdev modded ecu and not the original one though which I dont understand. How do you resync the key?
    Many thanks

H-Dev ECU probably had the NATS removed / programmed out.

I've never done a NATS sync, but would guess you plug a Consult cable into your laptop and the Consult port and run the H-Dev software.

They confirmed they haven't removed NATS.

Is the software available to the public do you know?
