    Extreme current high outside temperatures

Any thoughts about taking the cars out in this current extreme temperatures we are experiencing?
Have a well maintained high mileage 1999 s14a running Castrol Edge 5w40, wondering if it might be a bit thin at upper range for the plus 38 degrees C we have coming?

It's only a couple of days of it - and if you're not planning on booting the living goolies out of it, I can't see it'll make a lot of difference really.

yeah its more out of a necessity really, as main daily car in use these 2 days, would be taking it very easy for certain!

I’d drive on as normal. Temps won’t get as high as when on a track day etc

Your car was climactically tested for conditions far worse than a heatwave, don't worry about it.
