Need help from the locals in southern England/Wales

    Hey guys,

my name is Lasse, I am from Germany and currently on vacation in England/Wales with my girlfriend and my S14.

Sadly, today while driving here, the car began to run rich at idle, then proceeded to run rich below 2500/2700 rpm in general. Driving on the motorway is fine, just idling, slow driving is problematic. It stutters and even shut off a few times at traffic lights.

I only have basic tools with me and can't diagnose the problem very well and apart from an IACV I have no spares with me.

So my question would be if you know any repair shops in my area that can work on these cars who might help me?

Today we are in Brighton and will be going towards Brecon Beacon national park in Wales.

Hope this is the right section for a post like this!

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like it might be a coil pack issue. You will probably pass through crawley tomorrow about 30 mins from Brighton, there is a garage called T&N that should be able to help you out

    Went to Horsham.
They were such a good help and so nice.
They found out it was the MAF / the connector of the MAF.
Unplugged it, car ran fine. Plugged it back in and still runs fine.
    So I know it's the connector/wiring.

Works for now. Let's hope it stays that way.

MAF was my first thought, glad the guys at HD could fix it for you. If it starts causing problems again you can just unplug it, car will run very rich but shouldnt stutter or shut down - enjoy the rest of your holiday!
