    Power FC and emissions

My Mot is friday, i have a cat to fit but last time it was hard work getting the emissions through still. Lambda is functioning as far as i can tell. Can i temporarily advance the timing 1-2 degrees on the power FC to lean it out a little or would that likely mess up the ratios anyway?

    Ta Jon

Might be able to adjust the cold start offset, not sure if it allows to lean the mixture though.

Hi Jon, yes you can mate.

It's really easy if the guy doing the test doesn't mind you sitting in the car making adjustments on the fly.

With the engine running go to Settings > Ign/Inj

This screen lets you temporarily adjust fueling and timing across the whole map. It only lasts until you restart the engine.

I saw that but wasn’t sure, what sort of numbers should i adjust it by? 3-4degrees?

I think you want to retard the timing rather than advance it?

It'll probably be somewhere in the mid 20s when they're doing the test, so you've got plenty of room to adjust it.
