Which coolant to use on CA18 nowadays?

    Hey guys,

I'm doing a flush on my dirty cooling system, and as per the thread title - which brand/type coolant do you guys use nowadays? I know the color system is not the same on different manufacturers so to avoid an expensive mess just wanted to read what you know is good and works.

Was originally designed for regular coolant, not the more modern OAT based stuff.

They aren't that fussy really. As mentioned they orinially just used regular glycol antifreeze (usually blue) and they are also fine on OAT. But I would not bother with HOAT or anything else.

Going to flush the cooling system before putting the new coolant in and bought a radiator cleaner to put in but now I'm having second thoughts thinking it might loosen some crap and clog up something... Car's running fine with no temp issues and nothing's clogged, should I just flush with water to be on the safe side or do you reckon it's okay to use the rad cleaner?

    Just water.

If your radiator is old enough to be clogged with shite you might wanna bin it anyway.
