I’d go for a more modern turbo.

Why are you looking at top mount? Can get plenty of turbos that fit in the Oem position that’ll run reasonable power and save you having to run new down pipes etc. The turbo you’ve shown is also an internal waste gate and the manifold is meant for an external set up looking at the pics.

What are your power goals? and have you undertaken/planned any internals, what you go for will be dependent on this

just went top mount ourselves? h-dev did it all! Went with garret gtx3076r and 6boost manifold, going for big power!

You don't need a top mount for 400.

You do need a lot of supporting modifications before you even get to the turbo though, have you thought your budget thru.

I would second Ben, the 25-550 is the way forward. I think there is an OEM position mount option for it too.

There is a stock location internal gate one

Top mount does look a lot better I must admit.

GTX2867r, stock location with stock cast manifold (just port match it) will easily see 400hp and will be super responsive, and save you a packet...- job done

Chris, have you got a link to a supplier so I can see it?

Because I'm not afraid of spending money but I honestly want to stay small frame and low mount on the new engine.

All I can find currently, not heard of the company selling. All seem to be t25/28 with vband exhaust.

    This one will bolt on:

But I still think you'll be better off with an external wastegate.
