Cleaning a car that's been in storage for over 5 years

    Morning,

My car before I bought it was sat in a barn and then it was sat in my garage for over 4 years.

The roof has dust on it which seems to have settled in to the lacquer.

Does anyone have any tips on what to use on it?

    It's pretty faded too.

I'll try and get some pictures on when I can.

    Thanks!

Get some bilt hambers auto foam and spray it liberally then leave it, was it off, and then do it again if required.

Then bucket and sponge, again bilt hamber auto wash is great shampoo or you can use something like g3 decon shampoo.

Then get a clay bar and clay the whole car. I use a clay mitt (3m) as it makes easy work of it. You can use the clay with clean water and car shampoo.

Once the surface feels smooth, then you could give it a polish with a machine if you have one and a light cutting compound. Else do it by hand and then seal it with a good polish and then wax.
