I'd stick to v power or equivalent.

Definitely not, will need to be super unleaded.
Shouldn't really be running 95 in the first place.
What’s the issue with the e10 fuel? People running e85 in many other countries

Anything rubber that the fuel comes into contact with will need to be resistant to ethanol or the ethanol will break it down, causing clogged fuel filters, injectors and possible fuel leaks.
People change fuel pumps and injectors for e85 because you need a lot more fuel to make the same bang as petrol. That's why e85 has an afr of something like 10:1 where e5 is 14.7:1

Well I filled my tank with it.
I doubt the pump, filter or injectors will be affected.
There's a short bit of hose between the pump and hanger.
But I'll replace the hoses when and if they degrade. It's done over 100k miles on E5.
Meanwhile the ECU mode II mixture monitor seems to to show that mixture remains within 5% of mapped.
Mods are minimal, exhaust, tube manifold, cone filter and fbu.
But thanks to Asda I am using an universal O2 sensor. Picked up some dodgy E5 fuel at start of August that killed the OEM sensor in about 5 miles. In closed loop it had no power, I had to keep revs over 3200 rpm and drive in open loop. Ran fine with sensor disconnected.
Are you running the car over winter or laying it up?
Cos most of the issues come from when the fuel has been sat about for some time.
I'm running it but I only do about 20 miles a week.
Not the best idea really.
Esso 99 is Ethanol free, stores better and some people have said it keeps it's octane rating better.
Having filled the tank a 2nd time the Lambda mode II is now showing correction outside 5% limits and isn't going into closed loop mode. The green led is constant and the red occasionally goes out and comes back on during acceleration, it will briefly flash in sync near idle but not at 2000 rpm. Added 2 gallons E5 to a 5/8 full tank and it's still not within limits. It seems that the first fill was some random mix of E5/E10 that was more E5 than E10.
