    ca18 oil cooler

morning all, i know there is a fair few posts regarding this matter but i am unable to find the exact answer to my question so i thought i would ask .

If i was to fit an oil cooler it would leave the water side of it still connected. so i wonder can i join the inlet and out pipes together and then on the cooler side can i join the two pipe connectors together too.

If fitting an external oil cooler be sure to use a thermostatic sandwich plate and regarding coolant lines just block both of them engine side.

is there an adaptor that goes straight to the block to get rid of the filter housing and the coolant part.

No need to join coolant lines I have mine capped, buy 2 16mm id reinforced silicon caps.

But yes remove whole heat exchanger, fit stud into block then fit thermostatic oil cooler sandwich plate.
