    Body shop/tuning Essex/Hertfordshire/London East

Located near Stansted Essex, looking for some help getting our S14a though the MOT, possibly needs a bit of rust repair/welding etc. may need a retune for some upgraded parts

Car was originally tuned at h-dev, brilliant but a long way from here

Been recommended www.rktuning.com, they seem to specialize in skylines, family business, sound nice, tuning, engine builds also, any experience of them or other recommendations in the area?

    Cheers

I've never used RK Tuning myself, but they are old school Skyline tuners and likely to be super knowledgeable about them.

In my experience, it's often worth shelling out on transport to get to a garage you know and trust. I'm not sure H-DEV do welding etc though, but I'd never hesitate to put my car on a low loader and send it there.

Might be a bit far but https://www.facebook.com/SR.Autobodies/ in Lincolnshire are the boys, Toby is on here somewhere I think too.
I dont know if hes only taking on full resto projects these days but Paul at https://www.facebook.com/pcheshireap (Polo on here) does some astonishing work, he previously was at https://www.autotorque.net/ who I know do some cracking work too.

If you tell the first two docwra sent you youll probably get charged more but say I said hello

Few of us have been taking our cars to Dal for yrs, never a bad job done. Give him a bell and see what he can do for you.

I second this. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else for the bits I can't do. He has a great knowledge of all s chassis but will work on anything

Ah that is brilliant info and advice, as ever, this forum is the best!

Yeah had been looking at the work SR do as I already follow their FB page, its very impressive, they have a 2 year waiting list! also had a look at the Paul link and gave h-dev a shout too

Anyway have now made contact with Dal and currently talking with him about the planned work

    thanks all!
