    High lambda test fail

    Hi all
Failed the test today on a high lambda reading.
Got a 1.31 when the spec is max 1.03
My hc was only 4ppm and the Co was 0.01
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Hi James. I’ve had this in the past and I think it’s down to exhaust bore size. This is made worse if the probe isn’t pushed far enough into the system or the car isn’t revved enough during the test. You could suggest they cover up part of the exit pipe (or fit a bung).

I am having emissions problems of my own at the moment. In for a retest on Saturday. Good luck with yours.
