    New - Awaiting ownership!

    Good Morning ,

After being involved with the VAG scene for 12 years im now in the process of selling up my 2 Audi TT's I have that sit doing nothing. Japanese cars have always niggled in the back of my mind and within the last year its been a Silvia I've decided to focus on owning. I have been very lazy in not pursuing it, however I now want to do it sooner rather than later.

I am hoping to become an owner by the end of the year subject to actually finding one that doesn't look abused and trashed.

Its an S14 which ill be looking for as for me its the one that catches my eye the most.

I don't really see many become available for sale, are there any best channels or routes to go down in finding one?

    Thanks

    Jake

Welcome. Facebook is the primary marketplace of the current generation. It would only be a Silvia if it was an import, else it'll be a 200SX.

    Look for rust.

And this is why I have joint as I'm not knowledgeable! So thank you for that, I had just assumed they were called Silvia's in Japan but in the UK 200sx

That's exactly right. Silvia is the JDM designation, 200SX is the UK designation.

So as of today I placed a deposit on hopefully a decent 200sx. Have no idea of the colour name but it's the Deep Blue on a late 99 plate. Manual car and all looks quite straight. Attempting to have it in my possession for this weekend!

I'm very excited and I hope it's how I envisage it to be.

Best of luck! Just remember to check for rust. Alot can look shiny and lovely on top, but underneath can be another story.
