Delete if not allowed. Registration problems!!! Help

So I've been battling for about 6 months to register my s14. I have certificate of comformity, mot, letter from nissan head office to state year of manufacture on headed paper, tax paid for first six months. And dvla rejected my application!!! They say the letter from nissan head office declaring it was built in 1994 is not a proof of manufacture date. I have no other paper work as I was never given any with the car.

Does anyone know how I can get a year of manufacture document.

If I can't register I will be forced to sell or brake and it's a shame as its completely rust free and engine is smooth as.

Have you asked the DVLA what would suffice?

Yes the lady on the fone said it should of been OK if its a letter from nissan. But they still rejected. On the site it says they want official owners club verification which their verified owners clubs don't have nissan. or a manufacture extract of production from Japan and that's impossible to obtain. And I don't want a Q plate or else it will loose its value. And it's so much hassle. I am kind of giving up.

Ok. I have a few friends at the Nissan Technical Centre in Cranfield. Let me see if they can ask around internally. Perhaps they have an electronic parts catalogue that can accept the VIN and verify the manufacture date.

I never used them and at around £150 it's a bit pricey, but might be enough for the DVLA when combined with what you've already got

I’ve sent your pics off to Nissan Cranfield.

But you need to get from the DVLA an understanding of exactly what they are expecting you to present.

I've just been of the fone to dvla and they said I need a first registration certificate, or a extract of date of production showing that chassis number. Or a declaration from nissan to state was made in that month and year.

Can't you go back to Nissan and get them to add the month?

So you have a letter, from Nissan, that says the Chassis Number and the year and month of manufacture?

Then speak to a manager because that's exactly what you're being asked to produce is it not?

Yup exactly that. And there just beeing idiots about it. What better than a head office comformation letter. Its redicolous. I even said to them to give me the telephone number or email of who rejected it and they can't even do that.
