Engine removal keeping gearbox in place

Looking at removing my engine to clean up engine bay and paint , is it harder leaving gearbox in place and just removing engine ?

ive done it both ways but prefer to pull the engine and box, trying to line up the gearbox and engine in my opinion was worse than mounting the whole thing back in in one go

Far easier to remove the gearbox imo.

Yeah from what I've read online , everyone says this. I've only ever put it in as one before

+1 on the engine and box out together. Much easier I find!

Definitely pull it all as one. It's a bugger doing them separate.

I will remove both then save a battle trying to get engine back in later

It's even easier to do it with the front of the car cut off

    Pointz will verify that
