    SR20DET crank pulley compatibility

    Hi,

Has anybody tried fitting an SR20DET crank pulley to a CA18DET engine ?

I think they both have a 29.5mm bore.

I don’t need the PAS or air con drives and am thinking of buying a one SR piece alloy pulley which I’ll turn down to just the water pump / alternator drive.

I tried turning down my OEM CA pulley and it fell to pieces !!

    Thanks, Richard

Won’t work, theres no alternative pulley option other than fluidampers.

    Didn’t know that !!

What would be the impact if I replaced the heavy and dampened OEM 3 belt pulley with a very light single belt pulley ?

The one piece alloy pulley is probably not a harmonic pulley and will eat you crank bearings up quick.
Are your need purely cosmetic or do you need extra clearance?
