    To Drifters

Did you get extra points if you could stop with the badges on the wheels aligned?

I thought it was a myth until Tiff Needell took me out in an M3 at Thruxton and drifted it. Each time he came back with the BMW Center caps aligned

Did you know they've taken the word gullible out of the dictionary?

I started writing a reply but couldnt find polite enough words

    Ash, keep in mind:
To drift the rear wheels have to be rotating at least 30% faster than the fronts
The outside wheels have to turn more than the inside to go around a corner
Its not unusual to lock up 1,2 or 3 wheels at a time

Not even Merlin could drive round all that.

Docwra. Don’t need to keep it polite. After what I said to you, I deserve it.

My only experience of drifting is losing the backend of a single seater and waking up on the grass...

I’m not allowed to do Palmer sports days now

At least you were suitably impressed with BMW's centre caps.
