    Turbo identification

I know this is a long shot but can anyone identify this turbo from these crappy pics? Apparently it has no id plate...

Was making 400bhp ish on an rb25, unknown boost level etc.

I’ll see what I can get, I can’t get close to it until after the lockdown.

That would be ideal but looking at other turbos most have that text in the casting, I was hoping it had a plate on the core but apparently it doesn’t.

You’ll have to measure to find out for sure

    It'll probably be a GT2871R or a GT3071R

It looks like it was supplied as a bolt on RB25 special kit as it's not common to see a T3 turbine housing paired with a GT28 style compressor housing

It’s a mongrel for sure, the car was also running some pinky/red injectors and what looks like a z32 maf (again the identification label has worn off)

How would I go about measuring it to check?

Did the 3071 ever come with an internal gate?

EDIT - the picture is a bit hard to make out, but I'm actually 99% that it's a regular T28 turbine housing with a T3 adapter bolted to it.

I’m only going off the pics like you guys are but agree it looks like a t28 size.
