Where can i get replacement windscreen rubber and connectors?
Seems like the rubber is in a few pieces with clips in between.

Probably not essential items at the moment. Have you tried Autoglass?

Pretty sure they’re still available new from Nissan but I expect you’ll have to wait for this lockdown to be over to get one

You can still get them through Nissan, you can get the part numbers here: Link

But honestly, they're not worth the money. If you talk to a screen fitter, they have rolls of universal screen seal that looks very OEM+ and costs next to nothing. It's a much better solution.

Are the generic seals ok now, heard mixed reviews in the past but that’s mostly from Ford boys who think anything without a Ford code on it is trash.

Do they have the water trap to stop water pouring in through the drivers window?

No mate, no water trap on a universal seal. Just a smooth rubber strip.

Worked brilliantly on my white one. But yes, if you use screen wash you may want to have your window up. Or wind deflectors.

Trim is just there to look good. Makes no effect on water ingress etc. the glue does that.

A universal trim would be your best bet unless you want to pay a fair bit for the oem trim. If your windscreen is damaged and you use your windscreen cover the insurance company should supply like for like trim.

We are talking about water passage over the car to the passenger windows.

The standard screen trim does have a water deflector to stop water flowing round to an open side window. A universal seal without it does let the water pour in. I sorted mine with a seperate strip of 5mm thick self adhesive foam tape up the edges of the windscreen glass. It worked (and lasted for many years) but wasn't pretty.

I seem to remember mentions of a Vauxhall Corsa C seal making a useful substitute including water deflectors. Logic says it must be narrower though.
