    Coilovers and Air cups

Has anyone fitted these? They allow you to raise your car if you need to navigate speed bumps.

I’m guessing not but do they affect handling etc.

The ones I’m looking at fit Tein Flex etc

Yep I’ve got them all round. They have zero effect on handling as they are essentially flat discs of metal when not activated.

Game changing for me. Better for jacking the car up too.

I get a genuine 50mm of life at each axle. Compressor and tank fit neatly in the ‘ski slot’ too

With cups I assume the lift the provide is temporary right? As in they can’t be used for driving height and then dropped for parking up?

Yea you drive with them off / depressurised. And then activate them when you need to. They are rated for up to 40mph so can go over a set of speed bumps for example.

Car drives weird with them activated as it uses up the sag in suspension to lift

Yea there’s no downsides apart from the cost. Only weighs about 10-12kg I think for the 4 corner setup.

I’ve got mine setup to use the old fog light toggle switch which works great and is very stealth

    I like.

That’s what I want a full stealth setup

So how does the compressor and tank work? Electric or driven from engine?

It’s electric. The tank has a pressure limit switch that switches the compressor on and off. The tank sits fully charged so you hit the switch which allows the compressed air into the cups. The air pressure in the tank is depleted so the limit switch kicks the compressor on to top the tank back up. Compressor runs for around 30seconds after each raise of a four corner setup. When you flick the switch off again the air from the cups is dumped to atmosphere
