Was too nice not to. I didn't see anyone on the off-road run. The weather was just breaking through into sun. The place was green. Absolute bliss.

Skipped my Sunday ride this week as my new Sunday riding buddy decided it was too cold. As a result I took the bike in for servicing at my local little bike shop. Seems there's a problem with the shifter for the rear. Not surprised as it's been misbehaving but hoping they can find parts otherwise I'm off the road for a bit.

I was talking to them about what they've got in stock and still, after a whole year, the shop it stocked full of stuff they'd ordinarily not put on the shop floor but it's a choice of some stock over no stock. The price of components has apparently gone nuts as there's such limited availability, and even big name brands are punting bikes out with bitza this n bitza that rather than the more traditional top end Shimano stuff. Mental.

That sounds like a decent run

Ffs! Edited again as I can't seem to get pics to work. Tried 3 times to get a pic of the Kona Explosif restomod up. None seemed to work.

The Santa Cruz is not quite finished. Its built and rideable but I'm not happy with a couple of bits.

    Find a job!

And I think I have. Keep your fingers posted.

I have admittedly been lazy because O didn’t want to have to go back into an office environment whilst COVID-19 was around - I’ve already lost 2 close friends to this awful disease, but I have had my first jab and am ready - and they said work remotely for the time being

Be nice to get back into the world of work and not just be a conservationist. I have my own petting zoo. Dozens of varieties of birds, 2 Monk Jack deer, 2 squirrels, rabbits and 2 badgers plus a wily old fox I’m even building myself a hide and putting up trail cameras

That aside, has anyone watched any of Jeremy Clarkson’s promo videos for his Amazon farm TV show? He’s beginning to look like Rufus from Bum fights!

Me? I've been back at work since last Monday. Nice to be doing something again but I did enjoy a few months off at home with the kids. Especially as my working day is 9 hours, over an hour away from home. Leave at 7am, home usually around 7-7.30. So I dont see much of the kids. At least for now I'm on a monday to friday. Never worked a job that gave me weekends free before!
