First official day of my work being closed for me. The only productive thing I did was some online training for work. Spent an hour and a half on it. Hopefully I'll do an hour or so every day on that. Not sure what else to do with myself really. I'm not going to read any books, there's enough of that to do on my training. I'm not a TV person either.

I bought a 180 kit from Kent models and hunted down a 30 year old kit online so I could combine the 2 and make my car as it was (facelift standard) and now it is pre facelift with brembos etc, got a set of te37s etc to go on the second model.

    Definitely.

    Meanwhile, I've been busy

Got the car and bikes out:

    Got everything else out:

Lots of grot and horribleness hanging about.

    Getting there:

Back reorganised and sorted through - not perfect, but a lot better. Loads to go to the tip now whenever we can do that again

Hadn't drained my drain tub after changing my brother in law's Corsa's oil about 2 years back. Lazy me. Just look at the state of that

    Not a totally wasted day

Nice Garage set up you have there arry!

I've been mixing/laying concrete for a new man cave/shed since Thursday evening as that was my official last full day of work until further notice, ran out of materials already lol. Will probably do some more work on the car and clean the fireblade, allegedly I have some new front wheel bearings for the 14 turning up Monday too, fingers crossed!

Thanks mate. Yeah, it was only built ~8 years ago - used to have a horrible old pre-fab thing which the roof would bow on as soon as it snowed. Had to go. I'd love it if it was just slightly wider but it's the width of my plot so that's a no go.

Gave the kitchen a good clean this morning including the induction hob with a special hob cleaning product. Had always cleaned it with soap / water but this stuff is on another level

The flecks on the right hand side of the pic are from the glass reflecting back the marbling in the splash-back. Bloody impressive shine.

You know you're bored when you're chuffed with a kitchen cleaning product

here we go folks, the red one is my first attempt, i deleted the jdm brake light and rear wiper and antenna, plus front number plate but did it mainly as a stock 13, the white one will be done how my 13 should be so will spray it grey with bronze wheels, brembos, carbon bonnet etc, gonna take a while though!

I thought that when I got it, especially when opening the box and seeing how much there was but once you get into it I find it therapeutic, just do an hour here and there in the eves etc.
Then again if I had a garage as nice as yours I'd probably go play with the real version!

Somehow I've been completely bombed with work all week

I have, however, today taken in some much needed supplies by delivery:
    1) A metric shit-tonne of posh coffee
    2) A week's supply (15 bottles ) of red wine
    3) A day's supply (24 cans/bottles ) of craft ale

    Should keep me busy

Decent weather for it - so BBQ time.

Apart from, oh dear..... It seems I've found Patient Zero of the SARS-Cov-2 outbreak. Opened the shed and it tried to leg it out past me. Might have forgot to get cleanie

Still, never mind, top improvisation skills

And it gives me something else to get stuck into cleaning
