Well finally got around to connecting the distribution box in the garage.

Sparkys, now how do I wire it to the mains? Was just going to test by putting a plug on it

There are spare breakers for the workshop next door

Can confirm definitely can't get down there lol. You can just about see it here - the fencing around it is pretty significant:

Sunday's exercise was along the Thames to Rainham Marshes. Covered about 23 miles in total. Some offroading but mostly on road / tarmac paths around there. It was quite busy and some absolute mong on a road bike nearly took both of us out with his inattention But overall it was worth the trip for the views. London in the distance:

Then I ploughed on to go and see these - https://londonist.com/london/history...ips-from-wwii:

After that I stopped briefly in Purfleet to see this https://historicengland.org.uk/listi...-entry/1111651:

It's the remains of the gatehouse and boundary wall of the Purfleet magazine. I didn't know this at the time but the Proof House is just the other side of the trees too. Built 1760 and Grade 2 listed. Now, just sat randomly in the middle of a shitty housing estate. Why on earth didn't they use it as some sort of feature? When Purfleet regenerates that housing estate should get torn down and started again.

Also, an interesting view of the QE2 Bridge looking from the West to the East:

I’ve probably done something incredibly stupid. Bought myself one of these. Needs a 240V to 120V converter and balanced XLR to RCA converters. But they are supposed to sound good

It’s a BBE Sonic Maximizer - supposed to correct Envelope Distortion

Thank you. Dropped the frame off at the powdercoaters yesterday. Changing from gold to metallic black. This was an option when it was new and I was never really a fan of the gold. For a change, I'm taking pics of what I do when I do it! Not really done that before, it's always been here what I started with, here's what I ended up with.

Looking all over for a set of decals for it as I would like to keep the Kona branding. Trouble is with a 28 year old bike, this is a tad difficult.

Petrified wood looks nice! I must venture out further than my usual 10 mile loop to the fenland pumping station and back. Good for aerobic fitness as its flat and windy!

    Cool

Been a bit busy with various bits n bobs. Mostly trying to find a new motorcycle, so I ended up at Hyside in Maldon (should have waved to Ash) which was a bloody odd experience for me I must say; first time I've been in that unit since it was SE Nisstek or whatever the hell Pete renamed it after he'd ****ed up yet another trading name

Nice little display, and some of these were actually for sale too:

Then I went on another churchyard picnic with Mrs Arry - took the CTR this time so that we could go for a walk afterwards more easily. The church was an interesting one:

Oldest wooden church in the world apparently....Greensted church in Essex.

Been vandalised on its rear wall

And the scenery around there is stunning

And I've had some time off this week, within which I was planning a few long MTB tours but yeah, because I've been off the weather gone to shit Yesterday looked like a scene from ****ing Ghostbusters

Oh yeah, and on Tuesday I told my close-knit and personally assembled work team that I've quit and I'm off to another job, via a Webex call That really, really sucked.

They didn't do a particularly good job of selling me one, TBH.

Should have been packing the car for download festival today....

Would have been my first festival since boardmasters in 2010, gutted is a understatement - they are doing a live stream thing instead on YouTube, but it won't even compensate for 5% of the atmosphere..... I'll probably end up watching it and getting drunk in depression

Boardmasters was my last festival - and it'll be my last festival ever I reckon; wind coming off the sea just ruined the sound quality to such a degree.

I would have been landing from Baku this morning having been at Icheri Sheher for the grand prix. Bastard

Had a few days off this week so scoped out and went for a little walk relatively locally, circa ~5 miles from my house which is very much in the industrial mire of Essex.

Well, how are these for views? Didn't take a proper camera; should have done - and my phone camera is crap - and the weather didn't help as it was quite misty but you can see Canary Wharf, the Shard, and then the city with the Gherkin etc all on the horizon. In other parts there were green fields as far as the eye could see.

I have started to feel a lot better about where I live thanks to lockdown.

    Definitely.

Thankfully the weather has picked up again so we headed out a little further afield yesterday. Had a bloody lovely walk from Heybridge over to Ulting via Beeleigh Falls on the Blackwater/Chelmer and then came through the fields to the south. Absolutely stunning:
