Quite ironic that the “Healing powers” helped cause a global pandemic

Totally unscientific view from Worksop, there were a hell of a lot more cars on the road today. May be they didn't have to worry about Skype going "Inactive".

Mate of mine in Godalming said the same thing. I've noticed quite a lot more traffic too.

Maybe they think Boris isn't watching them now he's got dat virus innit.

    Anyway back on topic,

While I was bed ridden with this disease, it was a good opportunity to do some monitoring.

Temperature peaked at 100.2 when I was feeling the roughest

What was really interesting was to see how it affected blood pressure. I have an Omron M7 blood pressure monitor that connects to phone and then syncs into the Apple health app.

My blood pressure is typically 116-120 / 70-80 which is normal

At my roughest it was 160 / 100 ( not terribly high, but still quite a jump)

Symptoms were similar to a bad case of Flu, Fever, headache, aches and real fatigue. Not much of a cough, but was short of breath at my roughest.

So in reality had it pretty mild, but it still sucked

That's very fortunate you must be in the upper echelon of society, I know NHS staff, teachers and police officers who are on the front line and have not been tested.

I had all the symptoms about a month ago, I think I must of been lucky as I was still able to go to work and the gym ect, probably passed it on quite a bit as I just thought it was a normal cold/flu bug which are quite common at this time of year.

I’ve been off work since Friday and bed ridden, temperature of 39 at its highest and a banging headache. Not sure if it’s the virus or I brought it on as I was getting crazy stressed about the situation. I work in a shop and customers just won’t keep their distance from you

Plus my girlfriend has Lupus and is on immuno suppressants. I asked if they could test it and they said it would automatically be tested as blood is being screened. I was a high risk of catching it due to using public transport.

If she gets it, it could kill her. I can’t risk that

Keep yourself hydrated. Dehydration was probably the biggest factor when I was ill. I was sweating buckets

With it’s infectious rate, more likely than anything that you have got it unfortunately.

    Get well soon mate

If you had had it, with all the symptoms, you would not have had the strength to go to the gym...

Chances are you didn’t have it, but if you did I bet your popular at work now

Many people are asymptomatic, I keep myself in very good shape, I'm a ripped 94 kg but I think my age led to the mild symptoms, no one knew about it when I had it, if I would of known I would of self isolated.

But you just seem to think it is related to the common cold.

Covid-19 is the name of the disease. The official name of the virus that causes it is SARS-COV-2.

That is not to make people panic but to make people sensible.

According to sources in the know, we are probably going to peak with the most contagious of people middle of this week because most people infected should have gone through the 14 day incubation period, so infected people will increase and then it should start to decrease, but if people continue to ignore the advice of medical professionals because they believe they know better then it is just going to make matters worse

Now to bore you with some biology lessons.

SARS Coronavirus 2 has been detected in Urine, Faeces, Blood, Mucus, saliva etc, so it is through these methods it can be transmitted.

So for gods sake, youtubers stop videoing yourselves licking toilet bowls
