    Turbo repair companies

My turbo has taken some damage and is in need of a repair.

I have narrowed the companies down to Owen Development and Midland Turbo.

Does anyone have any other recommendations or any experiences with any of the two above?

    Thanks!

    Kishan

I would say Turbo Technics, but it was many moons ago and when they gave me the quote after tearing it down, I said "keep it".

That was the first company I called as they are in the same area as me and they said they couldn't repair it.

A chap is selling a bunch of turbos in here at the moment, might be more cost effective to do that instead

They didn't, they recommended Owen Developments after saying no and that was the end of it if I remember correctly.

I was pretty surprised they couldn't do it.

Since then I have spoken to Turbo Dynamics and they're saying they can get it repaired a lot cheaper compared to the others and they also said they will test my two actuators to work out which one is better for it which is cool.

    Hopefully it's a simple job!

    What turbo is it?

When I was looking at getting my 2871r rebuilt it was cheaper to buy new as the chra inside cost basically the same as the turbo!

    GT2871R.

I'm hoping they stick to the quote!

CHRA's have come down in price a fair bit recently, few alternatives on the market now.

Turbo Rebuild can deal with the GT2871R if the first place can't.

    Thanks for the reply!

I did call them and they won't work on it.

I'm going to get it over to Turbo Dynamics and hope the for the best.
