    LED H1 Bulbs

Looking to buy some LED bulbs for my dipped beam. I bought a bulb similar to the first design but it didn't fit in the holder due to the diameter of the tip, and I was wondering if the 2nd flat design would fit, or if there's a certain brand that would fit without having to chop stuff up.

    Cheers in advance.

The caps that fit the back of the headlamps won’t fit with the fans on the back of these btw

Never used the LED lamps before, how are they in terms of light and how long they last?

A couple of my friends use them and they're far superior in reliability and price compared to xenons

I took apart my headlights tonight in an attempt to fit some HIDs, however the back housing was too big to fit inside the dust caps and the metal spring holder had no chance of fitting. The ones linked above also look like this spring wont fit over the top to hold them in place?

The ones i bought, before taking apart the headlight so didnt know what i was getting into

I bought some that were regular H1 size (without the fan on the back) but they're so dim that they're worse than halogens. I'll try and get some with the fans on the back at a later date and try removing the headlight assembly to have a better chance at fitting the bulbs

The bulb retaining springs have to be reshaped slightly to allow fitment of the bulb.
The LED replacements are waterproof anyway so the caps aren’t important,
I bought some spare headlights with all the wiring in place had a practice run on these as the new bulbs come with loads of spare wire length and the original wiring needs to be shortened (if you’re a bit OCD)
