    Bonnet wont open!

I took the car for MOT yesterday and it seems the tester has messed something up. Going to the pod tomorrow so thought I would check over under the bonnet and guess what?? It wont open!!!

Is there a way to open it from the front? Can I undo the bolt for the catch through the grill?

    I sorted it.

Undo the grill. Turn both plastic clips 90 degrees and pull it out.

Undo three bolts (12mm) that hold the catch down.

Lift bonnet, wedge something to hold it up (I have a stock bonnet, 20kg!)

Stick your fingers round the back of the catch and pull the bit that the cable pulls. Left hand side, you will feel it sticking out.

I found that my cable had somehow come away from the retainer bit, so I put it back, greased everything up, bolted it down, tested it with a screw driver to make sure everything was good. Tested it twice again with the bonnet, all is gravey... baby!

Forgot to add, I check the pull bit side first from inside the car, that looked ok and felt like it was still pulling the cable.
