    New Chilli Powder Blend

This is a bit feisty. Originally based it on Heston's recipe but it was a bit too mild so beefed it up

    Carolina Reaper
    Trinidad Moruga Scorpion
    7 Pot Douglah
    - Binned the Naga as they are lame
    Chocolate Habanero
    Devil's Penis
    Durango
    Madeira
    Pecos Red
    and El Rey.

It is great for making Chilli Con Carne

You can get it all from Pendery's

Chilli plants are flourishing this year. Going to try growing Carolina Reaper and Devil's Penis next year

Made a chilli using Carolina reapers the other week....

I was expecting a slight upgrade from the Naga, woah!

It went nuclear when I dropped 8 in a good size pot.

And it goes Chernobyl when you warm the freezer tubs up in the microwave.

You do realise why Trinidad's 7 Pots are called 7 pots... 1 is enough to power 7 pots of stew. The reaper is on another level

    Realise now...

I usually use 2 table spoons of mad dog 357, a hand full of Nagas and some encona hot sauce and it leaves it a pleasing madrass/vindaloo level - just right for clearing a cold.

This stuff is proper next level, but really enjoying it after the initial scare lol.

Beef shin chunks have turned to butter, I don't know if it's the 4hr slow cook or the spice enzymes which have melted it more!

Slow cooking beef is great. I normally braise short ribs for 8 hours and you can shred them off the bone.

Whoever replies first or PMs me an address I’ll post a sample of the mix. Freezer bag full

Been on holiday for a week, so probably not the first....

But I'd gladly try some of your chilli mix
