    S13 stage 3 install problems

As above i have a s13 CA18DET that im taking to stage 3 with all the required mods, i have installed it all in the car and then tried to start it. Originally it tried to fire but then died and then came a clicking sound from the engine bay, found the clicking to be coming from the injectors the ignition amplifier and the air con relay. i have narrowed it down to an ecu fault so i have sourced another ecu and installed the chip into that, now when i turn the ignition on the clicking has gone but im getting no spark upon cranking. any advise on where to go next? im wondering wether the clicking saga has killed the ignition amplifier? i have checked all the engine bay fuses and they are good. Nightmare mate, sorry to hear it.

Take it the ECU is a compatible serial number? Have you tried sticking the original chip back in and see whether it works? Is the chip genuine or a copy from somewhere?

Yes the ecu is off the same year car with a lambda sensor, the original chip snapped a pin when i removed it off the original ecu, but the car ran fine before i installed the chip. The chip is a horsham developments stage 3 chip. Adam

Cheers guys, i concluded last night after trying a standard ecu on it and it starting straight up that either chip or ecu is toasted.

Plugging the chip in the wrong way round fries the chip.
