replacing a UJ on a prop shaft

I took my diff off over the weekend on the PS and found the UJ on the prop a little too notchey for my liking, was just wondering if anyone has successfully changed one out for a new unit?

don't think you can do them your self as I think there is a special tool for staking them in.

Ohh right I thought they were like any other UJ as in taking the C clips out and then pressing the bearing cups through?
    Nothings ever easy

Take it to a prop shop, I paid £40 to have mine replaced and balance checked last year.

Sure I changed a rear U/J on a s14 prop years ago for a mate and it was just a normal circlip push in and out jobby, took me like an hr. If you got a vice it's piece of piss with a couple of sockets etc. Put a picture up of your exact prop to double check if you like.

Cant remember what the S body one is like but done them on Landrover props before. As said above a vice and some sckets and away you go. Just dont drop one of the new buckets on the floor

Well I got a price off some dude yesterday and it was £150 per UJ....... I may do it myself haha.
I’ll get a pic when I get home but it’s the non abs prop with 3 UJs on.
I just need to find out what UJ to buy now as there is next to no info on them on the mighty interweb.
They seem easy enough to change and once I find out which ones to buy I’ll put a few pics up when changing them
