    ABS fault

For the last year ive had an ABS fault appear on my Silvia. Its not really been an issue but the MOT has ran out now and need to clear it so there are not lights on the dash to pass. I have an APexi PFC so my question is can I still see what faults I have on the ABS unit with consult? I cant get consult/Datascan to work with my windows 7 PC so don't really want to waste my time trying to sort this if it will not work anyway. any thoughts?

    Ta Jon

Good question, never tried consult with a PowerFC, don't think it works.

Think you'll have to put the original ECU back in

Worth doing a visual check on the sensors and wiring before messing about?

Should be as their is only one abs sensor on the rear and it’s on the diff.

Should be on the nose of the diff near the prop iirc.

I have had a poke about and cant see anything obvious, Relay resistance checks out ok but haven't checked they operate yet. Plug to Diff looks ok and two on inner chassis legs are decent. Took the control module out and its not got an LED so it looks like I need to do the paperclip test on the consult plug. I cant seem to find the 14a supplement manual to get the dash light to flash as the control module doesn't have an LED on it to give the fault.
