    Intake pipe and poncam questions

Anyone experienced their intake pipe collapsing? And if so at what level of boost?

Have tomei poncams fitted with adjustable pulleys (Need to check which ones) but by how many degrees should the pulleys be adjusted?

It has the coil inside it but to be honest I can still squeeze enough to restrict it even on idle.

Nah that engines not in the car yet almost ready!!

not had the intake pipe collapse on a CA or SR,or read/heard of it happenig tbh,
I had it happen years ago with a volvo 740 2.0 N/A automatic when I floured it to about 80 and it wouldn't pull any faster
and it had sucked the pipe in so much it was wheezing on idle,

your air filter is too small if your sucking your intake pipe shut.

thats a real common set up and first one I've heard of have it happen to,I suspect something like the pipe has reacted to something like
a puddle of breathing fumes sitting in the pipe for years and its gone soft enough it can collapse, or as mentioned before me the air filter is restrictive
,full of crud? easy test just take it off and run it with no filter,
the stock SR intake has no spring but its quite firm

CA intake has a spring. The air filter would have to be pretty cruddy to restrict flow that much. The pipe can get quite hot due to referred heat from the tubby making the spring more important.

    They need to be mapped.

It could be worse. I bought 8 UPS from Amazon and sent them back because I hadn’t put the fuse in...
