Hi,
I need some cams upgrade that supports vvt.
If I upgrade cams and valve springs, can I keep the vvt in my head or not?
Thanks.

As my other post, I have tomei new poncam 258 installed with BC uprated springs by HD and the car definately pulls much harder across whole rev range. I haven't tried any other cams so can't compare with anything else. The only issue I have encountered is that the car needs a bit of gas at cold start to keep it from stalling!! This didn't happen before I fitted the cams- but I did have quite abit of other work carried out at same time - so not sure if its the cams causing the issue or something like ICV- anybody have any ideas?
Aren't quite a few people having issues with these cams?
With some csms you can keep the vvt, but when using stiff valve springs the vvt sprocket will start to rattle very quickly...
This is the thread I saw about them that made me raise an eyebrow.

Keep in mind the new 258 poncam is made by Tomei USA not Tomei Japan who now trade as separate entities
I will put intake side poncam 256 with standard valve spring because of vvt, and exhaust side tomei 270 Duration 12.50mm Lift with bc valve spring
what you think?
