    What’s my engine worth?

As I’m breaking the 180sx I’m looking to price my engine,

It’s an sr20det red top (straight cam)
Last compression tested was almost exactly 145 on all 4
Not 100% on mileage but I think it’s around the 100,000km
    Tomei pon cams
    Brian Crower valve springs
    Cosworth head gasket
    ARP head studs and nuts
    Tomei rocker stoppers
S14 black top oil pick up tube (updated wider design)

Oil changed with filter every 5,000km

Will come with full inlet manifold assembly and alternator plus starter, no turbo or exhaust manifold

Jdm non vvt engine out the 180sx is worth a fair bit more than an s14 engine.

I’d expect it to go for sale for 2-2.5k in this climate. Check the Facebook pages and eBay for completed listings.

if your breaking the car offer it with the upper engine loom and ecu, pas pump alternator etc.., as most would want it for a conversion.

Ecu is a link so worth around £900 on its own. But I would offer it with anything else someone wants for the right money.

Rarity at a guess. They all had to be imported to the best of my knowledge.

Fair enough. Always though people would rather the VVT engine

Yeah they’d all be imported engines, but I didn’t expect them to be worth much more tbh. I thought to myself if I got £1200 for mine then happy days but I thought it was worth asking. I guess I’ll just try my luck and see what I can get

is it a 'red top' red top or a 'black top' red top?.. later blacktops are worth even more. the reason I suggested selling it as a package is that looms and AFM's etc.. are a pain to source so it would make it more attractive to a potential purchaser

You'll definitely make £2k out of it in this climate with those upgrades and that mileage.

SR20 prices are mental. Bring back the £300 running engine days.

Nah they were never 300 quid, 600 maybe and sub 500 if it needed work.

CA's on the other hand were 100 quid, gearboxes 50 (or free)
