Linux People - what distro are you using?

I have recently converted from Ubunto 19.04 to Elementary OS 5, which I have to be honest is much nicer to look at. Had a few issues getting things installed since even though it is based on Ubuntu, a lot of the dependencies weren't recognised since Elementary has renamed them - but a bit of "Techie" work gets that sorted

So Linux users, what Distro are you using? And why?

Debian - because a colleague had it on a memory stick already. Been using it for a couple of years without any issues and tend to leave it up and running for months at a time. Mostly use it for ssh, Ansible runs and the interwebs, so nothing fancy but it gets used hard.

    Anti-X.

I wanted to run a python script with selenium on an old Athon 1800XP. Turned out that all browsers are compiled to use SSE2 and javascript engine in phantomjs is so out of date that it can't support a javascript promise. Tried Icecat, Palemoon, Firefox ESR build, Chrome, nothing worked without SSE2. Any browser that does work doesn't have a webdriver for selenium.

Took me 2 weeks of evenings of chasing old threads on stackexchange to find that out.

It would run on a Raspberry Pi.

First time I've had a NIX box at home since a dual boot Slackware 2.1 disto on a 486/20 12Mb ram back in the mid 90's. Got connections to 1700 and 8000 core HPC's at work and a "farm" of Sunblade 1500's for CADDS5 (old Solaris 8 nothing else runs it).

I've got cruft! Found the Dec '94 3 CD Infomagic set and a 6 CD set from Nov '98.

Nope its linux and thus rubbish.
Yes i play around with all the various SBC's and linux builds ect but i dont exactly like the OS - the hideous reliance on the command line with much of it seemingly gobledeegook means linux will never surpass windows as the OS of choice.

It is however doing fine on esix'd HP microserver.
