Well here it is - The European Mustang !!!!!!

    Rough details

    Coupe and Convertible

    2.3 Turbo (305bhp/300lbft)
    3.7 V6 (300bhp/270lbft)
    5.0 V8 (420bhp/390lbft)

Mustang features all-new front and rear suspension systems. At the front, a new perimeter subframe helps to stiffen the structure while reducing mass, providing a better foundation for more predictable wheel control that benefits handling, steering and ride.

The new double-ball-joint front MacPherson strut system also enables the use of larger, more powerful brakes. This is expected to be the best stopping Mustang yet, with three available brake packages.

At the rear is an all-new integral-link independent rear suspension. The geometry, springs, dampers and bushings all have been specifically modified and tuned for this high-performance application. New aluminum rear knuckles help reduce unsprung mass for improved ride and handling
The feeling of freedom and confidence Mustang instills in its drivers is amplified when they can take control of how the car behaves. On a twisty back road or a weekend track day, the driver can tap the toggle switches on the console to quickly adjust steering effort, engine response, and transmission and electronic stability control settings using the available Selectable Drive Modes to create the perfect Mustang at any time.

The advanced new Ford-developed stability control system is tuned to maximize Mustang’s dynamic capabilities. When the time comes to turn up the wick at the track, Mustang GT includes standard launch control that enables drivers to achieve smooth, consistent starts every time

I would prefer it if the front lights wore a little squarer and more aggressive (not as sleek) ... but thats a tiny tiny want ... I wuld be quite happy with the way they are.

Personally I love it ... but then I love the fat American mustang as well .. I would have any one of those variants in a heart beat if I had made something of of my life and could afford one !

Well here it is - The European Mustang !!!!!!

Like it. Looks like an E92, XF and Evo 8 had a drunken encounter in the printer room at a Christmas party, 9 months later this is their bastard offspring.

The suspension write up reads as it should be a vast improvement handling wise, and it looks quite good
just the price will determine if it sells well I guess

Agreed it's a bit mish-mash but I still like it too.

What engine is the 2.3 Turbo going to be Mark? All new? Cylinders and config details please!

If that had a Nissan badge on it, people would be raving about the new S-chassis

Me likey...and I don't say that too often about Fords.

Why would anyone buy the 3.7 though ? Less power, less torque and less mpg

Don't suppose its going to be available in RHD, is it ?

Depending on price, that could be worth a serious look then as the Subaru is coming up for replacement.

Looks like it is a manual 4-pot turbo too.

Ford's bumph is describing it as "all the styling subtlety of a flying fist".

Remember Nissan's "iron fist in a velvet glove" for the 14a ?

I was thinking GT86 meets Evo X, but now the XF has been mentioned there is a whiff of that too...

Pricing will indeed be interesting, and if they have fitted a Ford Europe interior not a US one...

Yer the 2.3 is a basically a bigger version of the 2.0 thats in my ST and of course turned 90 degrees. i am confused about the V6 as well, i thought it was going to be a turbo as well and be around 350bhp but in the press release I got this morning thats not the case unless its a typo. The Official launch is due at midday and being streamed live to all employees so I will watch it and report back any other details.

Pricewise, its rumoured to start at £28k, if thats true then i will definatly be looking at them when i replace the ST
